The ranch
Arabian Spirit is a small working ranch on the edge of the Dubai desert. The horses are Arabians and part-Arabians — the breed the peninsula raised for endurance, and the reason a ride here feels nothing like a led pony walk.
Every ride goes out with a guide who knows the horse under you. Beginners get a calm, honest horse and a rein-length lesson before the gate opens. Confident riders get sand, space and a canter line. Afterwards there is tea, shisha and a floor cushion under the tent while the light goes.
What we run
Out of the yard and straight into open dune. Walk and trot for new riders, long canter stretches on the flats for anyone who can sit one. We stop on a ridge for the light, and your guide takes the photographs.

Structured lessons in the arena: seat, hands, transitions, then work over poles and small fences. Weekly slots for children and adults, and single lessons for visitors who want an hour of real instruction rather than a tour.

Carpets, low cushions and lantern light under a canvas roof. Come off the horse, hand over the reins and stay as long as you like. Non-riders in your group are welcome to wait here — and usually end up booking a ride for the next evening.

06:00 · Out of the yard
Desert rides leave before the heat does. Flat light, fresh horses, and an hour before anyone else is awake.
18:40 · Into the water
Hard wet sand and a horizon with nothing in it. The horses go in to the knee, and most of them would stay there all evening.
20:15 · Off the horse
Carpets, lanterns and karak tea under canvas. The tent stays open until nine.

The owner replies personally, usually within a couple of hours, with the horse, the meeting point and the price. Nothing is booked until you get that reply.
Arrive fifteen minutes early. Long trousers, closed shoes. Helmets, water and the horse are on us.

Before you come
Prices are quoted on request. Send your ride, date and group size through the form and you'll get the price back with the confirmation — group rates, lesson packages and private bookings are all priced differently.
The ranch is open every day from 06:00 to 21:00. In summer we ride at either end of that window and keep the middle of the day for the tent.
Yes — most of our desert rides go out with at least one first-timer. You get a quiet, experienced horse and a short lesson on the ground before we leave. The pace of the group is set by the least confident rider, always.
Long trousers and closed shoes with a small heel if you have them. Bring sunglasses and something for your shoulders. Helmets are provided and required for everyone.
For the welfare of the horses, the limit is 95 kg / 210 lb. Tell us your rider weights in the booking notes and we'll assign horses accordingly.
From age 6 in the riding school, and from age 10 on desert rides if they've ridden before. Younger children are welcome at the tent and for led photos in the yard.
In summer we ride at sunrise and after sunset only. From November to March, afternoon rides are comfortable. We'll suggest the right window when we confirm your booking.
Your guide takes photos on every ride and sends them to you on WhatsApp afterwards, at no charge. A professional photographer can be arranged on request.
